More commonly known as Chasselas, Fendant is an appellation reserved for Valais. It owes its Valaisan name to the characteristic of its ripe berry, whose skin splits under the pressure of a finger. Fendant is a fresh wine that combines sweetness with a certain acidity. It is a dry wine, yet never harsh. Its color is slightly golden and brilliant. The Fendant "Caprice du temps" is fruity (banana aromas) and at the same time discreet. Fendant is also called an everyday wine; it's an all-rounder that can be served in all places and circumstances.

Food pairing: aperitif, starters, fish, raclette, fondue, alpine cheese and hard cheese.
